1/27/12 - Trenton, NJ 2012 Summary

For the third consecutive year, CTTV has visited the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, New Jersey for another phenomenal show presented by FELD Motorsports and Advance Auto Parts MONSTER JAM! Another stacked six truck line-up filled the arena with excitement: Grave Digger #19 driven by Randy Brown, Advance Auto Parts GRINDER driven by John Seasock, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles driven by Joey Parnell, After Shock driven by Bob Robbins Jr., El Toro Loco driven by Becky McDonough, and Shock Wave driven by Bill Braukmann. Due to pre-scheduled events with Daniel Donnelly, the on-hand video taper, the Friday night event was missed, but, he was able to make it for the Saturday shows! Saturday Afternoon started out with a bang, as John Seasock in A.A.P. GRINDER took another wheelie contest win with a great score of 23, just edging over Randy Brown in Digger. In Racing, the upset of the weekend was veteran Bob Robbins Jr. in After Shock defeating 2-Time World Racing Champ John Seasock in what was a very tight racing finals! After some great demonstrations of NJ vs. PA Quad Warz and awesome BMX, freestyle came, and it was off-the-hook! El Toro, Shock Wave, After Shock, and TMNT all put up good performances, but nothing out-performed what Seasock and Brown pulled off! Seasock had incredible speed, and just constantly hit the middle dirt ramp with full-throttle speed and with great air, getting cut short just before an awesome cyclone. Randy Brown did awesome, as well, kicking up lots of dust, and keeping those Magnaflow zoomies nice and hot by just stabbing the throttle, and he tore up the center jump by crossthreading it several times. The championship would once again go to John Seasock, as he slightly out-performed what Brown had pulled off. After a short hiatus between shows, and some track re-constructing being done, another near-sold out crowd was ready for what would be the BEST show of the weekend! Right off the bat in Wheelies, Three trucks pulled vertical wheelies: El Toro Loco, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Advance Auto Parts GRINDER. A.A.P. GRINDER had pulled the most incredible skywheelies Trenton has ever seen, with TWO perfect vertical wheelies! He tied with TMNT, but got one extra point to get the win! Racing soon came, and after several great passes, it weaseled down to where A.A.P. GRINDER was able to get another great win, making it John's first racing win of the new year! Freestyle was next, and there was still no sign of Grave Digger #19, because in between shows, Randy and his crew had to replace another transmission. Everyone put up great runs right off the bat, with a bad break from Joey Parnell, because as he pulled out of his pit spot, his sway bar arm broke clean off, and he was done, not even making a hit. Then, Advance Auto Parts GRINDER came out, and John Seasock just tore that course UP! Constant speed, great skywheelies, and the sickest air of the weekend, with a great cyclone to cap things off. Then, the fans saw the red lights turn on, and they went into an uproar! Randy Brown pulled out of his pit spot full-throttle, made a nice air hit, then everything in the truck shut off. An electrical wire had been pinched, and his run was done, a one-hit wonder, as many fans said afterwards. A HUGE thanks to the following people for making it a great weekend of coverage for CTTV: Kevin Post, Bob Bennett, FELD Motorsports, John Seasock, Joey Parnell, DeeDee, Mitch Smith, and all of the fans!! Our next stop will be at the famous IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey at the world-famous Meadowlands Sports Complex, as it might be one of the last shows the IZOD Center will see before Advance Auto Parts MONSTER JAM moves next door to MetLife Stadium (a.k.a. Giants Stadium) this upcoming June 16th, 2012. Stay tuned for more coverage from CTTV coming very, very shortly!

Also, after a bad summer in E-Town, Rich Blackburne in Viper made some changes to his truck to make sure he ends the year on a very high note with a new transmission and lowering the shock height. To add to it, wild man Dave Rappach in Rap Attack will return to Wall after having an incredible save back in 2009, and he'll come back even bigger than before. Joey Sylvester, making his second appearance in NJ in Bad Habit, will come out huge for this show as it is one of very few shows left for him. 8/22/11 - E-Town #3 Was Incredible!

Even five days after this historic event, fans are still in awe at what Old Bridge Township RACEWAY PARK was able to pull off for this 1st Annual MONSTER TRUCK MELTDOWN presented by new sponsor Chevrolet. 10 of the most famous names in the entire monster truck world battled it out in a full-throttle drag racing and freestyle battle for the chance to take home the first ever racing and freestyle trophies at the MONSTER TRUCK MELTDOWN. Before the event, Grave Digger #25 had slight issues with starting up the truck, but the problem would soon be fixed. The pit party was jam-packed as thousands of the most loyal monster truck enthusiasts packed into the parking lot area to get autographs as well as see high-flying, ragged-edge FMX performances with some of the coolest moves the fans in NJ have ever seen. After a great pit party, the thousands of people jam=packed into the stands to see what was expected to be the show of the summer for NJ! At 8:05pm, the national anthem was sung, the fireworks were shot off, and the alcohol got swirling, as the ten trucks fired up and pulled into the tunnel for staging. The entire crowd went into a huge buzz as Iron Warrior and Iron Man pulled up to the starting line. Drag racing was much different, as two trucks pulled up to the starting line, went over two dirt ramps, crossed their paths, and went over another car stack, and finally hit a blue stack and the first person to cross the finish line wins, as well as fireworks going off in that person's lane.    TO BE CONTINUED...

7/19/11 - Pat Summa (Thrasher monster truck) Phone Interview Release from CTTV

In a couple of days, CTTV's Daniel Donnelly will release an exclusive phone interview with the one and only Pat Summa, owner/driver of the Thrasher monster truck. This interview took place on July 17th, so the discussion will be about how Pat beat Adam Anderson in Grave Digger The Legend in Manchester, NH, how Pat has his own show that he puts on in Augusta, NJ, about beating Adam AND Dennis Anderson and how he'll beat Ryan, and so much more! So look out for it in a couple of days!

7/18/11 - Englishtown, NJ This Wednesday, With Return Of ROBOSAURUS!

This Wednesday, the 20th, of July, 7 top name monster trucks, several funny cars, 4 jet cars, and the 4 story tall, fire-breathing, car-eating ROBOSAURUS will attack the course in Englishtown, NJ at Old Bridge Township RACEWAY PARK! The likes of Grave Digger #25, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Black Stallion, Viper, and Higher Education will concur the course on Wednesday night. After not being at the first show, Gary Porter and Whit Tarlton with Grave Digger #25 and Spider-Man will be clueless to the likes of what Vaters, Blackburne, and Tracey have up their sleeves for this show. Also, Frank Krmel and Chad Fortune will return driving at Englishtown after not driving for over a year now at this historic venue for monster trucks. With Frank being in Batman, it will be a new challenge for him to tackle, and with Fortune having and up-and-down year, let's see if this show will be an "up" for him. Another huge part of the show will be the return of the one and only ROBOSAURUS, the 4-story tall, fire-breathing, car-eating behemoth will take over the night in a fiery display of wild action! After not being there for four years, and also having issues with finances in between then, the robot has returned in full-force and will make it's E-Town return and it's CTTV debut this very Wednesday! The field of trucks are amazing, but ROBOSAURUS will just add to the chaos that's taking place. With this event being not that far away, you better get your drinks ready, because it's gonna be a hot one, weather wise, and ACTION wise!

7/05/11 - Baltimore Expected To Be "Show of the Year"

In just four mere days, 16 of the greatest monster trucks in the world will culminate to throw down in the first-annual "Havoc in the harbor" event in Baltimore, MD at M&T Bank Stadium. The likes of Grave Digger #20, Maximum Destruction, Grave Digger The Legend, Son-uva Digger, Avenger, Advance Auto Parts GRINDER, and many more will be in one place, for one night. And, not only will all three Andersons be there in their own trucks, but motorsports superstar and legend Travis Pastrana will pilot Nitro Circus for his first real ever competition show in a monster truck. This time, he hopping in the truck for his first ever competition run, against 15 of the toughest drivers in the world today. CTTV's own Andrew Fitzpatrick and Dominic Annechino will be on hand for this rare event and will catch it all in video and fantastic photos.

-A Submission from Mark Albert-
Hello Monster Jam fans. After following the season very closely all year, we are looking at an event that is so big, so powerful, and so hyped up, that the whole Monster Jam world is buzzing with excitement. I’m talking about the first annual “Havoc in the Harbor” event, in the beautiful Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD. Sixteen of the biggest and baddest names in the industry will do battle at M&T Bank Stadium, including the likes of Tom Meents, Jim Koehler, all three Andersons, and extreme sports legend Travis Pastrana, who will take over the controls of his Nitro Circus monster truck. Let’s take an inside look at this event, and I’ll break it down.

First, let’s discuss the track. M&T Bank Stadium is a beautiful facility, largely based off of the plans from Lincoln Financial Field, despite a 40 sq. ft. smaller track. Baltimore fans can expect a lot of cool obstacles and from what I’ve heard, a few combination jumps. But back to the size. With this field being a bit smaller than Philly and Cincy, a lot of fans from those cities gave much criticism that Baltimore gets 16 trucks, when we only get 12, but looking at this, this basically can guarantee a field expansion in both cities next year.

Now let’s go into the action of Racing. With a Chicago style track, which is the most likely set-up, there will be lots of close racing and a large need for the race determining frame-by-frame. Now these are just mine, but this is a look at the best odds for a racing winner. At the top, I would have to place Denis Anderson in Grave Digger, Tom Meents in Maximum Destruction, Linsey Weenk in Lucas Oil Crusader, and of course Adam Anderson in his Grave Digger The Legend who by the way appears to be a hot shoe in racing, coming off of back to back wins in Philadelphia and Englishtown. At the bottom of the pack, I have to place Travis Pastrana, Scott Buetow, Chad Fortune, and some others. But remember, in today’s Monster Jam world, anybody can pull a win out.

Now before I head into my freestyle odds, let’s take a look at some of the other “fluff” that will go on during the show. Fist we can talk about Quad Wars. Team Baltimore and Team Philly will be going at it all night long. While I’ll be in Baltimore, I am going to be screaming for Philly, because I am a Philly boy, living only 15 minutes away. Then we have the ever-going guesses for who gets the World Finals invite. My top 5 picks would have to be Dennis Anderson, Jim Koehler, Adam Anderson, Ryan Anderson, and Linsey Weenk. You also can’t forget the JDRF Donuts that will be laid down by Mr. Alex Blackwell.

Now let’s talk freestyle. With a giant 16 truck line-up, you can almost guarantee that there are going to be drivers 1-Up’ing each other all night long. With a track that is large enough for building great combos, and can hold a bus or two, you never know who will have the right stuff. If I had to make a list of Odds for Freestyle, I would pick Dennis Anderson, Tom Meents, Travis Pastrana, Adam Anderson and the young phenom Ryan Anderson. After his display in Vegas, you know this is kid will be rocking for a long time to come. At the bottom, I need to put Scott Buetow, Chris Bergeron, and Alex Blackwell. Shocking I know. But remember, he doesn’t have a lot of time to fix a tranny after his donuts. His run may struggle, as you saw in Philly.

So with that, I let the cards fall where they may. This show is shaping up to be the second biggest show of the year, right behind Vegas, which is always unbeatable. Now all that’s left is a 2 hour drive on Friday, and of course the main event of Advance Auto Parts MONSTER JAM’s first production of Havoc in the Harbor.

-A Submission from Andrew Fitzpatrick-
On Saturday July 9th 2011, Monster Jam will be in Baltimore Maryland at the M&T Bank Stadium making history. The title says it all, “Show of the Year”. The line-up started with just 12 trucks. Then it was brought up to 16 trucks with the addition of Son-uva Digger making it for an Anderson duo. All three Andersons will be competing together to see who will come out on top and it will be the first time Dennis Anderson will be back in Grave Digger since Las Vegas. Also the other big news is Travis Pastrana driving Nitro Circus. Expect BIG things from Travis of something possible as a back flip or just an outstanding freestyle. The title really says it all, all world finals competitors, and the first time Dennis Anderson and Tom Meents go head-to-head since Las Vegas back in March.

-A Submission from Dalton Hastings-
Hello everyone I'm here to explain about the show at Baltimore. What I hope to expect is that it will probably be one of the best monster truck shows in the whole world. We won't just see Tom Meents, Jim Koehler, Chris Bergeron, and Jeremy Slifko, we are gonna be witnessing the motocross legend Travis Pastrana taking control over Cam McQueen's Nitro Circus and the 3 Anderson boys: Adam Anderson in Grave Digger The Legend, Ryan Anderson in Son-uva Digger, and Dennis Anderson in Grave Digger.

Now onto the good stuff, for qualifying I think probably one of the Andersons or Meents will get fast qualifier. Racing brackets will be as good as they can with all the top hitters but for the semis and final round I see Ryan Anderson taking on Tom Meents and Dennis facing either Adam or Travis Pastrana. In the final round I see either Grave Digger facing off against Max D, or Grave Digger The Legend facing Son-uva Digger.

Now onto my favorite part: FREESTYLE!!!!!!!!!
But before that will happen I expect to see Captains Curse or Brutus pull off some more donuts for charity and raise more or as much as Captains Curse did at Philly. Now onto freestyle: I expect to see
everyone of those drivers give it all they got for Baltimore because you got 16 of the best trucks in the world with 16 of the best drivers in the world. I wanna see the Anderson boys battle it out on the freestyle track and I hope at the end of the show with the score board I hope to see all 3 Andersons have the top 3 Tom Meents in 4th and Pastrana in the 5th spot.

All in all Baltimore should be one of the best shows of the 2011 Monster Jam tour!!

Everyone here at CycloneTimeTV would like to wish everyone a great time at Baltimore and let's see if this show can be pulled off as "SHOW OF THE YEAR"!

6/22/11 - Raceway Park Show #1 Was A Success

Located in Englishtown, New Jersey, Old Bridge Township RACEWAY PARK is host to one of the hottest monster truck events of the summer, and has the host for 17 years. This summer, so far, has been no exception at all. This past 18th, 8 huge names in monster trucks attacked the dragstrip for another great show at E-Town in the 36th Night Of Thrills, presented by great sponsor P.C. Richard and Son. Before the show, CycloneTimeTV cameras followed the drivers and crew members around as they prepared for the first of four visits to the ever-famous dragstrip for the monsters. Daniel Donnelly, founder of CTTV, was able to hang out with several drivers, asking them how they would attack the course, and if they were ready for tonight. When the trucks all started up and moved from one section to another, Daniel's camera went inside the truck for an exclusive look inside the cockpit of Adam Anderson's Grave Digger: The Legend as it starts up and moves. Andrew Fitzpatrick, a veteran member of CTTV, recorded the monsters as they moved from the outside with his camera. Once that was all said and done, thousands of fans poured into the section of the park where the big, bad monsters were and they all got photographs with the drivers and with the truck. During this pit party, Daniel was able to get inside the cockpit of the "Monster Bus" Higher Education, as that truck prepared for it's first run on the E-Town course. It was a blistering 90 degrees out, but the hot action on the track made the weather temperature seem freezing cold. The trucks went right into racing. Raceway Park officials decided to bring back the crossover ramps for this year's racing set-up, which was not to Adam Anderson's liking. In the first race, John Seasock in Monster Mutt got a bye run because Trey Myers in Iron Warrior blew the motor after the first hit. We could call it a night for Warrior at that point. Next up was 9-Time World Champion Tom Meents in Maximum Destruction go up against his E-Town rival, Rich Blackburne in Viper. As soon as the light turned green on the tree, Meents took off, foot-to-the-floor, but Viper stalled. Viper had lost power, and it was a bye-run for Meents. But, after a weird landing off the third set of cars, he lost front steering, leaving him in trouble. It took a whole 2 minutes to complete the pass for Meents, and once Viper started up, he went full gas down the course, turned around, and came back to the pits.

6/7/11 - Philadelphia Is Now A Wrap

What a night at "The City of Monsterly Love" and "The Linc"! CycloneTimeTV, for the second year in a row, attended another history making event in Philly, PA and the home of the Philadelphia Eagles. 12 top guns in AAP Monster Jam invaded the football field for high-octane racing and crazy-sick freestyle. Earlier in the day, the Pit Party was buzzing with enthusiasm, as thousands of crazy fans piled into the crammed parking lot by the stadium to see the twelve drivers and trucks, as well as some R/C, BMX, and Megasaurus demos. After 3 hours of partying in the pits, the show was a-go. After a wild truck introduction, qualifying got underway. Early one, Lupe Soza in Advance Auto Parts GRINDER had a huge wreck, where he landed cock-eyed off the ramp on the left front, which in-term, ripped out the entire front axle housing of the truck. The damage would be severe enough to force Soza and GRINDER to call it quits for the night in Philly. Jeremy Slifko in Backdraft also had breakage as he lost power of the line, pulling off to the side, allowing Tom Meents in Maximum Destruction to pass him right by to complete his qualifying pass. Linsey Weenk in Lucas Oil CRUSADER didn't even make it out on the track from the Pit party, and the crowd had wondered when that truck would even show up. After qualifying, Adam Anderson in Grave Digger: The Legend would take the #1 spot from Meents in Max-D by seven-hundredths of a second. In Racing round two, Charlie Pauken in Grave Digger and Tom Meents in Maximum Destruction met up in match to the death. After the second jump, Tom Meents fumbled a little on the rebound, which gave Pauken a wide-open advantage to sweep the win, which he did. In the Semi-Finals, a crazy match would take place between Pauken in Digger and Damon Bradshaw in U.S. Air Force AFTERBURNER. In turn #2, Pauken slid out, turning Digger #20 90 degrees counter-clockwise. After he very quickly corrected himself, he hammered down to finish the race with dignity. But in the final turn, Bradshaw in AFTERBURNER spun out over 90 degrees counter-clockwise, which allowed Pauken to return and take the race to enter the finals. In the Finals, it was Pauken vs. Anderson, new vs. old school, black-and-green vs. blue-and-silver. It was close race, but after jump #2, Pauken had a weird rebound, which sent him off to the right a little, allowing Adam Anderson to keep a clean, straight-forward pass. That type of run would lead Adam Anderson in Grave Digger: The Legend to take the racing victory and trophy in Philly. After crazy and controversial racing, freestyle was next on the chopping block. But before that, Alex Blackwell in Captain's Curse was told to do "Donuts for Diabetes", were he would spin his truck into his signature long donuts for donations towards the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Each revolution would equal $500. After a crazy and dizzying 39 revolutions, Blackwell raised $19,500 for the JDRF, but it cost him a transmission in the process. After his truck was hauled off the track in a cloud of smoke, it was really time for freestyle. CVH in Monster Mutt would come out first. He set the bar high as he pulled three great slapwheelies, but unfortunately, he flipped over early cause of a "blind hit", scoring a fair 20. After a terrible start, Jeremy Slifko in Backdraft came out roaring, but as soon as he was going to make his first hit, the truck shut down, and wouldn't start back up again. His night was over, with a total of one hit all day. Chris Bergeron in Brutus had a great run, with two phenomenal sets of cyclones, with one set having a few revolutions on two wheels at full-speed! His run would score 19, plus 2 bonus points, equaling 21. Marc McDonald in El Toro Loco was next, and he did a great job! With it being only his third show on that CRD chassis, he did a great job, with a power slapwheelie and a great crossover, ramp-to-ramp move that left the crowd cheering and standing. He scored a great 24, putting him in the lead. Alex Blackwell in Captain's Curse came out after frying a tranny, and even in his freestyle, his transmission was working off of a thread, barely making it through the run. At the end, though, Blackwell crossthreaded a van stack, and the vans literally carried the truck over to the wall! It was the craziest sight to see! He would get a 22. Linsey Weenk in Lucas Oil CRUSADER was next, but when he jumped over the bus stack, and huge pop noise was made, and a piece from the rear of the truck flew up into the upper level seats above section 116. His run would be cut short very early due to safety concerns, and he would score an 11. Damon Bradshaw in U.S. Air Force AFTERBURNER was next, and after having a decent run going, another pop noise was made, and the motor backfired, with flames coming out of the exhaust. After a pop and a sputter, and limped into the pits mysteriously, giving him a 14. "Mr. Excitement" Jimmy Koehler in Avenger was next up, and exciting he was! He got a few good powerwheelies, which is a rare thing to see from Avenger. He too tried what Marc McDonald did, but he fell short and flipped the truck over in a violent landing, and a decent score of 23 would be his to keep. Adam Anderson, racing champ, in Grave Digger: The Legend was up next, and he did awesome! He had the sickest air of the night by far, a great ending slapwheelie, and a got a shot at slamming into the new, fresh camper on the track, and he left the crowd buzzing. He would take the lead with a great 27 out of 35. Next up would be 2010 World Freestyle Champion Charlie Pauken in Grave Digger #20. After a sick leap, he turned around and hit the bus stack, and then grabbing a sick slapwheelie that just yanked the truck on the bumper, then he rode the wheelie onto the jammer stacks, twisted in the air, landed, pirouetted, and came back over in an unbelievable save! He continued his run, then towards the end, and ran over the Traxxas R/C ground-view camera truck, and the crowd in that side of the stadium went nuts! He finished in Digger fashion, earning him 27 + 4, with a grand total of 31 out of a possible 35. Lastly, 9-Time Champ Tom Meents in Maximum Destruction came out huge, with sick air, and at the end, he nose-dived when hitting the backside of the bus stack. he shoved the truck in reverse and skied over the jump going backwards but he landed hard on the rear-end, literally shoving it in, but he kept going. he drove backwards on the rear wheels, bought it down on the side, shoved it forward, drove it on two wheels until hitting the backside of the FMX dirt-hill ramp, which he drove up on one wheel, backwards-flipping the truck, then flipping it backwards yet again until back on the lid. It was the wildest moment thousands of fans in the monster truck world has ever seen! Despite only getting a 24, Meents left in great fashion. After a great night, Charlie Pauken in Grave Digger #20 took home the title. After a wild night of monster truck chaos, fans were left in awe. No one wanted to leave, but it would be so. Another year would be the time the spectators would have to wait for until the huge chaos creators return once more to the place that is world-famously known as "The City of Monsterly Love"...

3/8/11 - Trenton and East Rutherford Summaries!!!

Hey all you crazy CycloneTimeTV fans! This is Daniel Donnelly back in 2011 for more awesome monster truck coverage! This season there will be more shows, and no doubt, more CHAOS! Here is this year's summary from Trenton, NJ:
Trenton, New Jersey - January 7th-8th, 2011:::
-We're back for business! This year, once again, we begin our CTTV season with coverage from Trenton, NJ at the Sun National Bank Center! This time, we're covering ALL THREE SHOWS, with the help of Advance Auto Parts MONSTER JAM for providing CTTV with comfort and behind-the-scenes treatment. Things started on Friday night! In the Wheelie contest, rookie Nicole Johnson in Tasmanian Devil had a great effort, as well as Carl Van Horn in Grave Digger #23, but it was Andy Slifko in Eradicator that put the truck nearly vertical in both efforts! He would steal the win with a score of 23. After the first heat of Quad Warz, it was time for Racing. After Round One and Two, it was down to one heck of a match-up. It would but ultimate rookie vs. seasoned veteran. Nicole Johnson in Tasmanian Devil would take on CVH in Digger #23. Grave Digger would be a clear favorite, but all 7,000 fans in the arena were in shock, as Johnson in Tasmanian Devil would take the win away by a matter of INCHES! She would pull the upset of the season so far. In Freestyle, all drivers were put to the test, but it was CVH who stood out above the rest. He had sick air and a set of cyclones to remember. He would come back for revenge and steal the win in Freestyle.
-On Saturday Afternoon, after a wild Pit Party turn-out, it was show-time! In the Wheelies, there would be no doubt that CVH would take another win, which he indeed did. After that, Racing came. Many fans expected another Tasmanian Devil vs. Grave Digger match-up in the Finals, but it was Backdraft vs. Grave Digger instead. There was major controversy over Backdraft's semi-finals round race, as many fans speculated that Slifko jumped the light, but it was clean to officials. In the end, CVH just mustered up more horsepower and took the win away. In Freestyle, local hometown-hero Bill Braukmann in Shock Wave would not be competing due to a broken steering cylinder in the rear of the truck. Nicole Johnson had a very impressive run, but it was Backdraft AND Grave Digger #23 that would end up tieing after Freestyle. After a silent judge ruled in, it would be CVH taking another win. Later that night, it would be the craziest event of the weekend. Not only was the Quad Warz controversial, but the Wheelies would be a stunner. Andy Slifko in Eradicator stood the truck up straight 90 degrees on both hits, while CVH in Grave Digger #23 came extremely close, but slightly behind on angle and air time. The controversy came win CVH won the contest by one point. Slifko would grab the mic in an interview with CVH and say "Who thought I shoulda won??". It was a crazy outburst, but the crowd nearly erupted when he said that. In Racing, Grave Digger #23 and Tasmanian Devil would meet again. But this time, it would be outrageous. The call for the win went to CVH's side, but many fans said that Nicole Johnson TOPPED Digger in that race by inches. It would be shocking to many, but CVH said afterwards "A wins a win". CVH would go on to defend his Racing title from that Afternoon, as well as his Freestyle title. CVH would sweep the weekend in Freestyle, and win every all day Saturday. There were many great efforts, but CVH just had the great combination of air, wheelies, and great cyclones!
***A HUGE thanks to Bob Bennett (FELD Motorsports), Mitch Smith, "Cowboy" Kim, Donna Baruso, Carl Van Horn, Jeremy Slifko, The Braukmann Family, and Nicole Johnson for a wonderful experience at Trenton***

East Rutherford, New Jersey - February 4th - 5th, 2011:::
-
For our second show of the first quarter, we would make a stop very close to home, about 15 minutes away, to East Rutherford, NJ at the world-famous IZOD Center. It was a rainy, snowy, and certainly cold weekend, but the warming aroma of methanol and the great heat from the big block Merlins heated the crowd of over 10,000 patrons right up! Friday proved to be a great way to start off the weekend. After a wonderful AAP Pit Party turnout, the drivers were pumped to get out there a show what they can do. In the Wheelies, Darren Migues in Stone Crusher went ballistic, as he stood that bad boy straight up-and-down in 90 degrees of pure chaos! He would no doubt set the tone for the weekend taking the first victory of the show. In the Maniac Challenge, Darren Migues would yet again take a win at the IZOD Center with a blistering time. In the Donuts, Gary Porter in Grave Digger #25 would steal the show with a donut lasting for what seemed like forever. He would get a very good score of 27. But, in the main course, Freestyle, every driver would go at their absolute hardest to get that win. Sadly, Paul Strong with Martial Law suffered very serious damage, breaking the whole left front knuckle unit off the truck, busting the tie rod and steering cylinder. In the beginning it would be Bob Robbins Jr. in After Shock taking the early run as leader with a nice score of 20, as he had great air, nice speed, and some good skywheelies. Whit Tarlton with Spider-Man had a phenomenal run, and he would then take the lead with a 23. Darren Migues with Stone Crusher 2 had a great run going, but one hard slap to the right rear wheel blew the tire nearly off the rim, ending his already great run prematurely. All eyes turned to Gary Porter, as he was highly expected to win. He did just that. Porter ripped crazy donuts, and skied the truck where no one skied it before, he even backed up to the wall to get a huge air hit! There were a few scary moments where fans thought Porter might rollover, but the 26 veteran that porter is, he knew how to handle that slick concrete and close-together obstacles. At the end of the night, Stone Crusher 2 and Grave Digger #25 tallied up 2 wins a piece for the weekend so far. There were still two more shows to endure, though...
-Saturday Afternoon bought a phenomenal turnout for the Advance Auto Parts "Service Is Our Best Part" Party in the Pits. After thousands of fans crowded the tiny New Jersey floor, it was time for Show #2 of the 3 show weekend. In the Wheelies, Darren Migues in Stone Crusher 2, yet AGAIN, stood the truck on the bumper for two hits in a row. He would clearly be a favorite for the Wheelies for the remaining portion of the weekend. In the Maniac Challenge, Dan Patrick in Samson would take his first win of the weekend, as for this would be his last time ever driving in the great Garden State before turning the keys to the world-famous Samson to his young daughter, Allison, for 2012. In Donuts, Gary Porter in Grave Digger #25 would yet again take another great win in the "tire roasting" competition. He had tough competition from teammate Whit Tarlton in Spider-Man, and rival Darren Migues in Stone Crusher 2. In Freestyle, right off the bat, Kaila savage in Heart Breaker made but one huge hit until something funny happened. After that hit, when going to press the brakes, she accidentally hit her on-board fire extinguisher, which had fell out of place, causing the truck to "smoke up". Fans thought it might've been a small flash fire, but CTTV found out behind-the-scenes afterwards what had really happened. Since the favorite for the weekend, Darren Migues in Stone Crusher 2 was out due to a busted rear end pinion gear, it was up to Porter to take it. And he did! He slid that new thing around like crazy, ripping cyclones to the left, then to the right. He would no doubt win that freestyle.
-That very night, chaos would erupt once more, this time, 3x's bigger! Paul Strong in Martial law was able to return to competition after more than 15 hours of work on the front end, re-welding, replacing, and lots of other repairs. In the Wheelies, Darren Migues in Stone Crusher 2 would once more take the contest, with the best vertical wheelie of the CTTV season so far. Maniac Challenge was next, and veteran Gary Porter in Grave Digger #25 in the winner's circle once more with the fastest time of the weekend. Donuts bought amazing efforts by every competitor, including Paul Strong who was angry he couldn't compete all weekend. He ripped some mean cyclones, leaving smoke hovering over the thousands of fans' heads. Whit Tarlton in Spider-Man held his steering out the window for CTTV crew members and fans. But, Gary Porter in GD#25  had a donut lasting over 40 seconds, and no doubt, to every fan, he would steal the win away from all 7 others! Freestyle bought pure chaos, as every competitor threw down to get that final championship of the entire weekend. Darren Migues in SC2 had incredible speed, amazing hits, and air to never be forgotten for these East Rutherford fans. The tragedy of the show to fans was when Gary Porter in his all-new Grave Digger was unable to fire due to RII issues and battery failure. 5 minutes of hard work later, and to no prevail, which would hand the final Freestyle win of the weekend to Migues.

11/24/10 - Freestyle Mania RETURNS for 2011!!!

This year, a new concept was created by the people at FELD Entertainment to have some top notch independents go all out in arenas all around the east coast in what is called "Freestyle Mania". Well, since it was a HUGE success in 2010, they will return with it in 2011! Gary Porter will return with Grave Digger #25, also returning is Spider-Man, After Shock, Krazy Train, and Samson. But, there will be three new faces to this circuit for the first quarter, such as Heart Breaker, Martial Law, and Mechanical Mischief. So, stay tuned for coverage from Uniondale and East Rutherford next year!

10/4/10 - Wildwood, NJ Weekend Is A Wrap!!!!

After a LONG weekend of non-stop coverage and tough fixing on the huge monsters, CTTV has returned home and will start editing the final episode of the year!!! On Friday, we had a blast hanging out with the drivers and crew guys before and after the Pit Party. Also, we got our first batch of CTTV stickers on 6 trucks for the weekend! After that, we headed back to the hotel and got ready for the next day's action. Right off the bat on Saturday afternoon, in Qualifying, Joey Sylvester in Bad Habit tried to completely clear the double set of rollers, but came up very short, and would be sent to the right, barrel rolling it, then on the tailgate, finally on it's lid, pulling off 1.5 rolls. In the Racing Finals, Gary Porter in Grave Digger #12 would take on Scott Hartsock in Gunslinger. With his experience, Porter in Digger #12 pulled off the first Racing victory of the weekend. In Freestyle, right out of the gate, Joey Sylvester came out in the "bare" Bad Habit, and backsided the RV ramp, but blew the left rear tire clean off, but, would continue to do 4 donuts for the crowd before giving up. Whit Tarlton in Spider-Man stood up the bad boy with several great skywheelies. Chris Bergeron in Brutus Had a HUGE leap off the RV ramp, but bounced into a wheelie, walked on the right rear wheel a little bit, then rolled onto the side, bought it back to life, then hammered down and flipped backwards in a wild roll over. Michael Vaters came out in Black Stallion, and had some very nice jumps, wheelies, and good speed. After that, Jimmy Koehler came out in Avenger. With a very bad motor, he still was able to get some sick air and very nice combos. Scott Hartsock came out in Gunslinger with very nice air and speed. After him, Gary Porter would once more come out with stiff front shocks to bounce the bad boy up in a wheelie, which he did. He had great skywheelies and very nice slapwheelies, and would take the Double Down. For Saturday Night, in the Finals, Brutus took on Avenger, and, in the last turn, Avenger rolled on it's lid, and Brutus took the win in Racing. In Freestyle, Whit Tarlton had a huge skywheelie, but right off the bat, busted the pinion and brakes, and he was done. Out next, Gary Porter shot out in Grave Digger and pulled off more amazing slapwheelies, plus, one that came out of nowhere. He was nowhere near getting a wheelie, but he hammered down and rammed it on the tailgate and dragged it out all the way. He would have a hard-to-beat run. Joey Sylvester came out in Bad Habit and got huge, sick air as usual from the record holder. Scott Hartsock had another good run, but even more air this time off the RV stack. Michael Vaters in Black Stallion had more sick air from the king of reverse moves. Jimmy Koehler in Avenger came out huge with great air, but broke the front pinion as well, and would be done for the night. Lastly, Brutus and Chris Bergeron came out with amazing air, great momentum, and sick wheelies, and he also did a "Rainbow" style move on the front side of the big dirt hill in the back twice, and almost rolled over but int he end, took away the Double Down, and a broken axle. On the last day, Sunday, in Racing, Gary Porter in Grave Digger took away the win for the last Racing run in old #12. In Freestyle, Bad Habit came out with absolutely sick air and amazing speed. He took several running starts at the RV stack, and would be tough to beat. Black Stallion came out again and had more huge air, and did a special reverser over the car stack, for the wild fans in Wildwood and for CTTV. He would take the lead very slightly. Gunslinger came out with more huge air and a few little powerwheelies. Avenger had more huge air and great speed, and once more suffered from a terrible motor, but he fought through it. Spider-Man had some very huge wheelies, almost rolling over twice, but would bend two 4-links and a slightly bent shock. Brutus had amazing air and great wheelies and did two more "rainbow" moves, and the second time sent him "rubber-side-up, sunny-side-down". Lastly, Grave Digger would get started up one last time before it would be torn up. Gary came out, right off the bat, busted the shock and had serious motor issues, but he fought through it, and would start crossthreading and pulling little wheelies and donuts, cause he had too many issues with the motor, he couldn't get any more sick air. He would get up on the side for two-three seconds, but bought it back down. Going into the final donut, the motor blew up into flames and he would be done. An emotional run for Team Grave Digger would pay off with the 10th King of the Beach title for Porter, a Double Down, and set on fire.

9/27/10 - Englsihtown, NJ Was A Blast!!!

A few weeks ago, CTTV attended the BIGGEST event in Raceway Park history! Over 3,000 diesel trucks and 9 spectacular monster trucks invaded the legendary Raceway Park 1/4 mile for one last time in 2010. To make the show even more special, Gary Porter in Grave Digger #12 drove the wheels off for that chassis last time EVER at E-Town before he debuts the new #24 to the NJ crowd next year in June. Along with Porter going ballistic, Tom Meents behind-the-wheel of Maximum Destruction stole the Freestyle win away from the 8 others with E-Town records along with it. Whit Tarlton, great CTTV friend and follower, in Spider-Man did a great job, but busted the self-centering spring on the truck before the run ended prematurely. Steven Thompson drove Hurricane Force in great fashion, despite having major brake and front steering issues in Racing. Unfortunately, his teammate, Tim Mente in Storm Damage, broke the steering orbital while pulling up for Racing, leaving him out for the night due to not having the correct tools on scene. Michael Hawkins in Equalizer did an amazing job both in Racing and in Freestyle, with huge air and a wicked long cyclone to cap things off for his Freestyle run. Isaiah Morales in Hot Tamale did an excellent job, with great skywheelies and huge air, and a cyclone donut that almost flipped him over on the lid. Rich Blackburne, hometown hero, in Viper defeated Meents in the Semis of Racing and finished very close behind Porter in the Finals, but made it up in Freestyle with a 4th place run that no New Jerseyian will eve forget. Chad Tingler filled in for Adam Anderson in Taz that night and had major motor issues, but still had spectacular air throughout the night in both competitions.

9/5/10 - Joe Sylvester in Bad Habit Has Broken The World Record Today!!!

Just minutes ago, Joe Sylvester in his Bad Habit monster machine broke the 11-year old world record for the Longest Monster Truck Jump in Distance! Joe jumped a successful 208 feet with no rollovers or breakage. He did amazing! Congrats to Joe, his family, and his crew for this successful, and Joe, we'll see you in October, buddy!

By the name of "Hill Billy", he would drive behind-the-wheel of Black Knight. And, finally, the team of two from Hagerstown, MD, Storm Damage with Tim Mente and Hurricane Force with Steven Thompson. Jimmy Creten would sweep EVERYTHING once more! In Wheelies, Hurricane force and Black Knight were in the running, but Jimmy Creten put the thing on the bumper twice, including one extra hit on the bumper as well. In Racing, Creten went undefeated, avoiding the Fastest Loser race. And in Freestyle, Jimmy pulled two awesome power wheelies and some really sick air, especially some awesome combos. Congrats to Jimmy Creten in Bounty hunter on the win! Stay tuned for highlights and the episode!

7/22/10 - Englishtown Show #2 Highlights Video Is Now Up!!!

Here is a 10 minute highlights video from the second Englishtown show of the CTTV season! he episode is coming in just 6 days!

7/22/10 - Englishtown Show #2 is a Wrap!!!

After a wild turn of events, the monsters attacked the E-Town course with great force and excitement, and left long-time fans and new fans with their jaws on the ground! Now, after having their usual drivers' meeting, the drivers were ready for a tight racing course and an all-out freestyle course. But, after officials checked the weather forecast, there were some drastic changes in plans. Instead of starting with Racing, they decided to cancel it all together and just put them out there for Freestyle. But, it was a decision for the better! Trey Myers in Iron Warrior rocked the house first out with some sick skywheelies with fresh cars and a wild cyclone with "bleeding" front brakes. Equalizer and Michael Hawkins roared out next and skied the truck as usual, but, just after a mere second jump, he busted the sway bar clean off, leaving it dangling throughout the run, but still being able to get a sick donut with massive tire smoke! Whit Tarlton in Spider-Man skied the truck and got some nice skywheelies and a crazy sick donut to cap it all off. Gary Porter came out next with Grave Digger #12 and had some really sick air jumps with one long donut in the end! Steven Thompson made his Englishtown debut in the new Hurricane Force truck. He had some really nice air and good momentum. Pretty good run for a still-new rookie to the entire industry! Next was reigning Racing Champion Mike Vaters in Black Stallion. He had great speed and awesome air as usual for this year! And a crazy donut in the end like everyone else! Next out was Rich Blackburne in Viper, who will be running a CTTV sticker next year! He came out with noise and speed with some nice air and a crazy donut like Mike Hawkins! Finally, capping off the Freestyle Competition was Tim Mente in Storm Damage, also making his E-Town debut. He had some nice air and a wild moment when he spun out and hit the wall. And, to cap off the run, he had a wild bicycle save that lasted at least a second!

Thank you very much to Trey Myers, Michael Vaters, and Steven Thompson for their hospitality, time to do interviews with me and the crew, and great respect.
Also, footage from inside the cab of the Black Stallion monster truck will be featured on CycloneTimeTV and MonsterTruckManiaTV, thanks to Trey Myers!

7/16/10 - Monster Truck Show in Buck, PA This Saturday!!!

This coming Saturday, the monsters will return to the Buck Motorsports Speedway! With a killer four truck line-up, crazy fans, and a nice course set-up, it will be a great show for the Pennsylvania fans! Trey Myers, a veteran of the sport now will pilot the new Iron Warrior to try to win over the fans. Lenny Kuilder will drive his usual ride in Prowler, maybe pulling off some crazy donuts in the process! Allen Pezo, and veteran of 27 years in the monster truck world, will be behind-the-wheel of his signature, original 3-D monster truck bodied Predator. Finally, the only 7-Time Thunder Nationals Champion Michael Vaters will pilot his Black Stallion truck to another fan cheer-off freestyle victory! Sadly, CTTV won't be covering this event coming on Saturday, but, in August, we are planning on covering the event for the CTTV fans!

7/10/10 - Ryan Anderson in Spider-Man Wins Freestyle In Cincinnati!!!

Ryan Anderson, the youngest Monster Jam driver now, has won his SECOND major stadium freestyle! Scoring a great 25 in regulation, Ryan capped it off with a great rollover to give him 4 extra points in the bonus time. There was a fever pitch in the air after the Intros after Adam Anderson, the older brother of the Anderson clan, in Taz broke the distributor and he was out for the entire night, not even making a single racing pass. In Racing, his famous daddy, Dennis Anderson in Grave Digger #20, defeated Linsey Weenk in Blue Thunder in the Final Round of Racing, repeating his win from Philly! Then, in Freestyle, Ryan rocked the house with awesome air, great wheelies, and a cool rollover. While, Dennis Anderson in Digger knocked the wheel off the truck too early and he was shut off, not being allowed to go any further.

CONGRATULATIONS TO RYAN ANDERSON AND DENNIS ANDERSON FOR WINNING BOTH COMPETITIONS!!!!

But, now, with this new chassis, he couldn't get rid of the old chassis. The old Storm Damage chassis was a very old Wilman Chassis, which actually ran as Taurus, an old favorite monster truck, for a short while. Now, after a look for a new driver and a new body design, a new second truck came into the stable. Hurricane Force is the new truck with a new driver, Mark Goodson. The new truck made it's grand debut at Thompson International Speedway on July 3rd, in Thompson, CT, with Michael Vaters promoting the event. Be sure to look out for this new truck in your area soon, and on CycloneTimeTV three times this year!
